Young Butterfly Services Information
Our services are provided Monday through Friday and each session is for one hour. You may call and set an appointment or select one of the options below to schedule a session. In order to ensure each client receives the full hour of service, we ask for prompt attendance. Additionally, in order to receive the best results, we recommend getting services at least twice a week. Late arrivals will not be able to use the full hour for their scheduled sessions.
Note: Cancellations without a 24-hour notice will be assessed a $25 fee.
Academics
The following assistance includes:
-Homework assistance
-Providing educational instruction/support for elementary to high school struggling students in areas of high need (English, Math & Science. and Social Studies).
-Creating curricula based on student assessment testing needs, which includes reading curriculum, cultural enrichment materials, manipulative, and specially developed assessments that are customized to each state's standardized assessment.
Special Education
Our trained professionals work with youth with special needs to give them the services needed to assist with academic development. We offer one on one support in all subjects.
Performing Arts
Performing arts allows creativity which in turn strengthens the learning ability of individuals. It is proven that children and adults improve in academics when including interdisciplinary studies in their daily learning.
The workshops include: acting, and voice.
Visual Arts
Education in visual arts provides a platform for our youth to create using their own expressions and through what they learn. We offer an array of visual arts learning lessons allowing our youth with several learning options to choose from. They include:
drawing, painting, printmaking, and design in jewelry, pottery, weaving, fabrics,
Keyboard
Our current musical option is through learning basic skills with the keyboard.
Learning the major keys, learning the chords, notice patterns, master humming, review finger placement, and practice.
These sessions are coming soon and will be announced.
Photography
Photography is offered through a trained professional who enjoys working with young people.
Our basic photography concepts include: aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed, exposure.
